Krisha started baking at 12. By 16, she was running a home bakery out of her kitchen — no training, no business plan, just an obsession with getting recipes right and watching people's faces when they took the first bite.
She ran it for four years before life intervened. She paused, joined the corporate world, and kept baking on the side. It never really stopped.
Then came the IBS diagnosis at 22. No gluten. No refined sugar. Suddenly most of the desserts she loved — and had spent a decade making — were off the table.
She went looking for alternatives. What she found was either outrageously expensive or genuinely bad.
So she went back to her kitchen. Ragi and jowar instead of maida. Jaggery instead of refined sugar. Batch after batch, until the cookie on the plate was one she'd actually choose — not settle for.

No Maida. Ever.
Refined flour (maida) is cheap, shelf-stable, and nutritionally stripped. We use whole wheat flour, ragi (finger millet), and jowar (sorghum) instead — flours with fibre, minerals, and actual nutritional value. They also taste better. It's not a sacrifice.

Jaggery, Not Refined Sugar.
Jaggery is unrefined, mineral-rich, and has a lower glycaemic index than white sugar. It also brings a warm, slightly caramel flavour that works beautifully in chocolate cookies and brownies. We switched to jaggery not just because it's cleaner — but because it tastes more interesting.

No Palm Oil. No Preservatives.
Palm oil is cheap and extends shelf life, which is exactly why most commercial bakeries use it. We don't. This means our products have a shorter shelf life — which is actually the point. No preservatives means the product is real food, not a shelf-stable simulation of food.

We don't produce ready stock. Every order is baked after you place it and shipped within 48 hours. You don't get something that's been sitting in a warehouse. You get something that was made for you, specifically, this week. That's not a logistical challenge for us — it's the whole model.
